Dr. Papandreas is concerned about the progression of stains, decalcification, and cavities for your child and hence has recommended a special calcium enriched toothpaste called MI Paste. This home treatment is neither a substitute for improved oral hygiene nor for regular cleanings and fluoride treatments with your family dentist. It is however an added step to help minimize the progression of stains and cavities.
MI Paste helps to ‘re-add’ lost calcium to tooth structure. MI Paste is not currently available at retail stores and may be obtained at our front desk for a per bottle fee of $25.00.
WARNING: if you have milk or any benzoate preservative allergies do not use this product.
Directions:
- Brush with regular toothpaste and floss thoroughly as you would normally.
- Now brush thoroughly with the MI Paste especially near the gum line.
- Keep the MI Paste in your mouth without rinsing or swallowing for 1-2 minutes.
- During the 1-2 minute period use your tongue to spread the paste around the teeth.
- Rinse thoroughly with water, a little amount of paste may remain coating the tooth which is ok.
- Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes afterwards.
- Use your MI Paste once a day until your tube is completely gone.
Cautions:
- Replace the cap immediately after use and wipe away any excess paste from tube neck.
- Do not swallow the MI Paste.
- If any paste gets in your eyes, flush with water and seek medical attention.
- If paste gets on your clothes, wash with water.
- If any swelling or skin irritations occur, stop using this product and seek medical attention.
- If you have allergies to milk do not use this product.
- Do not use if pregnant.
Thanks for your effort!
